Bombay Paparata Reserve Path Project
In August 2025, the Franklin Local Board approved the Paparata Reserve Concept Plan, which sets out a wider upgrade for the reserve. The plan includes a new pathway, play space, community hub, kick‑around area, drainage improvements, signage, and future enhancements such as shade structures.
Phase 1 will focus on constructing the new path linking Lawrence Carter Drive to Paparata Road. This path is funded through the Franklin Paths Targeted Rate and will be the first step in bringing the concept plan to life, alongside initial works such as playground improvements, drainage, community hub, and signage.
Phase 2 will follow with further upgrades, including shade structures and additional reserve features, once funding is secured through the future work programme.
See attached for the adopted concept plan. Updates and photos will be shared here as the project progresses.
