- This project will create a safe and accessible footpath connection between Maraetai School Road and Te Puru Park, improving access for local residents, students, and park users.
- In early March 2026, Auckland Transport began early investigations and scoping work for this project. This includes reviewing site conditions, exploring potential route options, and identifying any constraints that may influence how the project progresses.
- The project team is also engaging early and meaningfully with key stakeholders, including local community representatives and Franklin Local Board members, to ensure local knowledge and expectations are reflected from the outset. Updates will be shared here as the project continues to develop.
