Reynolds Road Crossing

Project:

Crossing

Location:

Update : In December 2025, the Franklin Local Board endorsed this project to construction. AT are targeting February 2026 to complete construction of this project. Community engagement with residents and local stakeholders have been completed.

Reynolds Road Crossing

We are installing a new pedestrian crossing facility on Reynolds Road. While the exact location is yet to be determined; our aim is to create a safe and accessible crossing facility for pedestrians, cyclists, mobility users and others across Reynolds Road.

What’s Changing

  • A new pedestrian crossing facility will be constructed on Reynolds Road, with the exact treatment and location of the facility still to be determined

Timeline

  • Local Board has endorsed this project to proceed to construction.
  • Nearby residents have received an inform letter regarding project details.
  • Construction works is likely to begin in Early-Mid 2026, depending on weather.
  • Any further updates or photos will be posted here.

Why It Matters

  • Our main aim is to provide a safe and accessible crossing facility for pedestrians on this road.
  • Crossings across Reynolds Road are high during winter, particularly when rugby games or trainings are on at Colin Lawrie Fields.
  • No crossing facility in this area means that pedestrians are crossing unsafely and increases the risk of an accident.
