Shelly Bay Road Footpath

We are constructing a new 100-metre concrete footpath on Shelly Bay Road between Beachlands Road and Karaka Road. This footpath will be constructed on the Western side of the road where no footpath currently exists.

What’s Changing

• New 1.8m wide concrete footpath to be constructed on the western side of Shelly Bay Road
• Provide a safe walking connection between Beachlands Road and Karaka Road for pedestrians, cyclists, prams and mobility users.

Construction Timeline

• Construction on this path began in early December 2025 and has been completed.

Why it matters

• Provide a safe and weatherproof connection between Beachlands Road and Karaka Road
• Encourages safe walking and cycling for parents and children to get to nearby schools safely.

More information

• Any updates and photos will be shared here as the project progresses. Check back closer to the start date for more details.
