Woodhouse Rd and Patumahoe Rd
Project:
Crossing
Location:
Woodhouse Road and Patumahoe Road Crossings
We are investigating the installation of two crossing facilities on Woodhouse Road and Patumahoe Road. This area has a large amount of pedestrians due to it being a town center with nearby shops, supermarket and cafes. Auckland Transport are in the process of investigating the best treatment type and location for the two crossing facilities.
What’s Changing
- Two new pedestrian crossing facilities will be constructed outside the shops on both Woodhouse Road and Patumahoe Road.
Timeline
- This project is currently in the investigation phase, where we are actively working with Auckland Transport to determine the best treatment, design and location for the two crossing facilities.
- Work is likely to begin in Early-Mid 2026, depending on weather and engagement results.
- Any further updates and photos will be posted here.
Why It Matters
- Our main goal is to provide safe and accessible crossing facilities in Patumahoe.
- This busy town center is home to nearby schools, sports clubs and shops – providing safe crossing facilities will reduce the risk of accidents occurring due to unsafe crossings.
